George Cary, 1859-1945 papers, 1885(ca.)-1926.

Twelve notebooks on architecture and design kept by Cary while a student at Columbia University, c.1885-86; four portfolios of plans and drawings for various buildings, including the University of Buffalo Library, the Dexter P. Rumsey home, and the Pierce-Arrow building, 1886-1906; a watercolor rendering of the New York State building at the Pan-American Exposition, 1901; a pencil drawing of the enlargement of the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society building, 1926; and five scrapbooks of sketches, drawings, and photographs of designs, and of personal memorabilia, including clippings concerning his career.
